Embracing a New Tomorrow in High Point

After more than 40 years at the International Home Furnishings Center (IHFC) in High Point, we are moving to our new home at the Commerce and Design Building and open for business starting this October Market.
Speaking with a close friend the other day about a move he had made 17 years ago from Miami to Sarasota. He told me that in pondering all the options, he and his wife understood that the decision to move was: life changing, necessary and a little scary because it was the “unknown”. The key to their final decision was that they realized in all the cogitating that they were not running away from anything. Rather, they were running toward something infinitely better. That something was a new community far from a home they’d known all their lives; a community that wanted them, their soon-to-be born children and their small business. And they were told as much: The community made their desire for my friend and his family unambiguous, warm, affectionately human and attractive in every way.
So it is with the same sense of humility and adventure that we bid farewell to the IHFC and our good friends and neighbors in our hallway for the last 30 years. We say hello to our great new neighbors Sarreid, Visual Comfort, Guildmaster and many others. We will be on the second floor, just off the escalators and a few short steps from Visual Comfort Lamps. Our space is nearly the same 5,000 sq. ft. we currently occupy. You’ll hear more about our plans, and how it will be great not only for us, but for you our loyal and most important clients. -EM

Fabulous, Fantiastic, Remarkable, Thrilled, Excited, Ecstatic. No words can express our feelings and our gratitude. We realize this decision did not come easy, as most life changing ones do not. Welcome to the C&D Family, loaded with members waiting to welcome you aboard It is going to be a fun, fun ride. Looking forward to building a phenominal future together! Wecome to the C&D building. I am sure it was a decision that was not easy and probably came with a few sleepless nights. As with most tenents in HP we are all being ‘Courted’ by the miriad of buildings with vacancies. Although Guildmaster has been an anchor in C&D for over 10 years we have been tempted by the seductress IHFC. In the end we believe that a small group of great design companies can create a destination not called IHFC. Welcome to our Design community. We look forward to meeting you all (MO term not to be confused with the TX term yawl, we are a bit more refined)

I am very happy for you folks @ Soicher Marin, the greatest art line in the world. It will be a pleasure to come to the C & D building to see you along with all the other lines that are great in that building. I think you’d do well in what ever building your in- in H-Point. Keep up the great work and we will see you in October.
